For GIIS students, the rigour of academics is well-balanced by proper exposure to sports through extracurricular activities, physical education and Gold Squad.
Sports is taken very seriously from a young age at the Global Indian International School. Students are encouraged to take up one sport of their liking in their ECA. Their performance is scrutinised thoroughly by the coaches, who help identify talents in various sports and encourage them to join our specialised Gold Squad Programme.
Students go through a number of assessments in a year
• For Grade 1 and 2, there are four assessments in the form of tests. Answer sheets are marked with grades.
• For Grade 3 to 5, there are two major assessments in September and March - termed half yearly and yearly assessments. They also have two periodic tests in May and November.
There are also bite-sized assessments conducted in class after each concept (like quizzes, group projects or short tests).
We make sure that parents are involved in the education and growth of their children at every step.
All information about the student is shared with the parent through our customised portal - myGIIS - which acts as a communication platform between the two sides.
Newsletters and emails are sent periodically, while each parental query is responded to within 24 hours – unless it is punctuated by a weekend, public holiday or vacation.
